When God created the world, he created it with the plan that Christmas would come. Christmas is Coming by Tama Fortner is a fun picture book that reminds us that Christmas was always "coming" even before there was a Christmas. We get to take a wonderful picture journey through some of the Old Testament and then the Christmas story as we know it to the arrival of Christmas. The pictures are lovely in this little book. The colors are bright and the message is clear-Christmas is coming. It's a beautiful way to tie what we celebrate and call Christmas today with what the Jewish people anticipated.

I enjoy this book and how it repeats "Christmas is coming" as we travel through the story in a simple but truthful way. It's a great way to claim Christmas for God and the original gift that was given to us that first Christmas morning.
